  • Doors open to camp classroom 5 minutes prior to the camp starting.
  • Please sign in your student on the sign in/out sheet.
  • Please pick up your child promptly after the camps is over.
  • Please sign out your student on the sign in/out sheet when you leave.
  • Take projects and water bottles home after camp each day.

Please send your camper in appropriate clothing so they are comfortable and prepared to participate in activities.

We recommend:

  • Clothing that allows for play, exploration, and hands-on activities.
  • Closed toed shoes or sandals with straps

Please send your camper with the following:

  • Sunscreen already applied prior to coming to camp
  • Water bottle
  • Peanut free snack

During camp students are given guidelines at the start of each day to help keep everyone safe, learning, and having fun.

We follow the STEAM STARZ guidelines:

  • Be Kind to Others
  • Be Safe in the Classroom
  • Try New Skills
  • Use Materials Appropriately
  • Use Listening Ears

STEAM STARZ reserves the right to dismiss any student from our camps due to excessive disruptive behavior, safety concerns, or violent actions.

If the weather allows, campers will spend time outside each day to play or do STEAM activities. In the event of unsafe weather, campers will not go outside.

If you are bringing any medication to camp with your child (including rescue inhalers and EpiPens), you must adhere to the following guidelines:

  • Morning/evening dose of medications should be given before or after your child attends camp. Only medications with a dosage schedule that cannot be adjusted for camp hours should be administered during the day.
  • ALL medications must be given to a Camp Instructor by an adult. Prescription medications must be in the child’s name and in its original bottle. Adult should advise whether the medication should be returned at the end of each day or stay at the Zoo for the duration of camp.
  • A medication authorization form must be filled out completely for each medication to be administrated at camp.
  • We will NOT administer medication without a completed form until we are able to reach a parent by phone.
  • All medications must be in their original packaging and labeled with appropriate prescription, dosing and/or pharmaceutical information. Liquid medication must be accompanied with an appropriate measuring cup/syringe.
  • We must have the child’s first and last name and exact time medication is to be given.
  • We are unable to accept damaged/expired medications or loose medicine in unmarked packaging or give medication on an “as needed” basis.
